What League is Appropriate for Me?

Here are some guidelines...

B League - fast and competitive.  You probably played youth travel hockey, high school, junior and/or college.

Intermediate League - you probably played some house league hockey as a youth or you're one of the better players in the Novice League and you are moving to Intermediate.   You may have also played hockey at a very high level in high school or college club, but now you've accepted the fact that you're not 20 years old and you just want to have fun and see if you can get more assists than goals.

Novice League - Beginner level.  New to hockey or you just don't have anything to prove anymore.

The point is to play in the league that matches your skill level so it is enjoyable for all.  If you're a much more skilled player than everyone else then your emphasis should be on teaching those around you to be better and focusing more on passing than scoring.  The league reserves the right to move players between teams and leagues to create greater balance.  If you are near the top of the goal scoring list then you should self-select into a higher league or seek counseling for your confidence issues.  The same holds true for teams which should seek to be a mix of skills appropriate for their league.
